Our Mission

To bring more connection and peace to the experience of living and dying in Western New York.

Our Vision

A tight-knit community where we know ourselves and show up for others with the offer of our presence.

Our Way

Storylistening is the practice of holding space for another as they speak their stories and discover their own truth – offering careful attention without intruding with impulses to interrupt, save, fix, or advise. It has the potential to build a sense of trust, connection, and self-knowledge that is lifegiving for all.

Our What

A Storied Life hosts workshops and small groups in person at local libraries and community centers to think about and talk about dying and death and the life we want to live in whatever time we have left. We offer a safe, brave space to share the stories that make us who we are and to be seen and heard by others - a rare experience for many of us.

Our Hope

By offering the gift of our undivided attention and gentle presence, each of us has the power to heal and connect our relationships, our communities, and our world. It’s that simple and profound.
